FAMILLE DELOUVIN
Geoffrey Delouvin manages 7 hectares of vines exclusively in the village of Vandières, carrying forward a legacy spanning 11 generations. It is incredibly rare for a grower-producer in Champagne to own vines in only a single village, and this hyper-focused, single-cru terroir makes his wines some of the most distinct and exciting in the region. The estate's old vines thrive on south and southeast-facing slopes across varied soils of clay-limestone, white marl, and clay. While Meunier dominates, the plots also preserve ancestral plantings of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Petit Meslier. Completely banning pesticides and chemical fertilizers, Geoffrey prioritizes biodiversity and long-composted manure to fuel the microbiological health of the soil. In the cellar, ancient heritage meets modern precision through plot-by-plot vinification and low-intervention practices. The true crown jewel of the estate is a 360-hectoliter perpetual reserve started by Geoffrey's father in 1992, which provides a deep, mature backbone for their signature Meunier Perpetual and Semper Fidelis cuvées. His ability to explore and understand the terroir over generations and vintages show in each of his creations and the wines exude personality, from one bottle to the next is full of energy and delight. There is no way to pick a favorite, they are all superb.
