ALEXANDRE GRIMÉE

Champagne Alexandre Grimée represents a deeply personal new chapter for young winemaker Alexandre Grimée, who stepped away from selling grapes to large houses to reclaim his family’s historic roots in the western Marne Valley. In 2014, Alexandre took over the reins of a tiny plot in the village of Bonneil, originally planted by his grandparents in 1973. Driven by a vision of ultimate precision and self-reliance, he launched a true micro-domaine—a single-person operation spanning just one hectare of land. This ambitious venture fuses deep familial respect with an uncompromising commitment to the environment, culminating in full organic certification with the 2023 harvest. Every decision in the vineyard respects the steep, amphitheater-like slopes of the terroir, where the vines are tended entirely by hand to express the raw energy of 100% Pinot Meunier. With an annual production of fewer than 3,000 bottles, early allocations reveal an exceptional preview of a rising star carving out his own great legacy in Champagne.
