VILLA BON ACCEUIL 'LES DANAÏADES'

This bottle represents the lifelong dream of winemaker Deborah, who broke out on her own to build a micro-estate farming a tiny 0.64 hectares of total vines in the village of Vandières. Unlike her highly limited vintage releases, "Les Danaïdes" is her signature non-vintage calling card, built entirely from 100% Pinot Meunier. The grapes are harvested fully ripe from her best hillside plots, natively fermented and matured in hand-selected old wooden barrels, and woven into a multi-vintage perpetual reserve.

Why we love it: It offers an incredibly generous, comforting, and slightly old-school style without a single drop of heavy sweetness. Because it is raised in older wood that is rarely topped up, the Meunier takes on a gorgeously complex, slightly oxidative patina. The nose opens with a deeply inviting bouquet of toasted brioche, warm mountain honey, and cooked orchard fruits.
