a few more details

This wine showcases the home village of Chamery winemakers, and brothers, Jérôme and Damien Labbé. It is a single-vintage blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Meunier grown entirely on Chamery's distinct sandy and chalky hillside soils. Jérôme, who trained as an assistant cellar master with the iconic house Bruno Paillard, seamlessly utilizes seasoned oak barrels to ferment and age his best individual plots. After resting for several years on its fine lees in their underground cellars, it is finished with a very low, crisp 4 g/L dosage.

Why we love it: The 100% black grape blend giving it massive body and structure, layered with rich, comforting aromas of candied citrus peels, dried apricots, honey, and toasted walnuts. Because it has a tiny dosage, it stays remarkably fresh and lively on your tongue, balancing its creamy, vinous weight with a clean line of chalky minerals and a dry, mouthwatering finish.

The vibe: The week has been long and it's only Wednesday. You stopped at Whole Foods on your way home to grab a rotisserie chicken and sides from the hot bar.
